We provide bookkeeping and BAS services to support small business owners and managers, ensuring that accurate records are kept and obligations are met on time.

As an Australian based online bookkeeper, we service our clients remotely making use of cloud based systems.

What is a bookkeeper?

A bookkeeper looks after the financial records of a business and assists small business by providing key insights, identifying efficiencies and allowing the business to use up to date financials for smart decision making.

An online bookkeeper is perfect for a business that doesn’t need a full time bookkeeper in the office or just needs a bit of extra support from a capable, qualified and experienced professional who has up to date industry knowledge and the specific skill set to ensure your bookwork is completed accurately. We work with businesses requiring weekly bookwork to those that complete most of their bookkeeping inhouse and only require quarterly BAS, with assistance throughout the quarter as needed.

What is a BAS Agent?

For businesses that are GST registered or have employees, their contract bookkeeper must be a BAS Agent. BAS Agents are registered with the Tax Practitioners Board and must meet qualification, experience, insurance and continuing professional education requirements to be able to offer their services. Our Practice Owner is qualified to a Master’s level in Business Administration and has over a decade of business and bookkeeping experience.

What does a bookkeeper do?

A bookkeeper keeps financial records up to date and accurate, meaning business owners and managers can use this information to make strategic decisions. Using a BAS Agent guarantees that your bookkeeper is suitably qualified and insured to complete your bookwork and will be able to help you stay compliant with Australian Taxation Office (ATO) requirements.

Tasks that a bookkeeper completes includes:

  • Recording day to day bookkeeping entries
  • Reviewing tax invoices for validity and correct GST treatment
  • Bank account reconciliations
  • Recording invoices for accounts payable and checking supplier statements
  • Preparing invoices for payment and sending remittances
  • Issuing invoices for accounts receivable and following up overdue debtors
  • Processing payroll in accordance with Fair Work requirements
  • Regular STP (Single Touch Payroll) lodgements and annual finalisation
  • Processing superannuation contributions and SGC charge statements
  • Reconciling loan and other balance sheet accounts
